Tyree Edwards didn't choose the creative life — he was born into it. Built at the intersection of worlds: Belizean and Mexican roots, an Atlanta upbringing, and a soul shaped by the rhythmic poetry of the Wu-Tang Clan.
THE
CROSSROADS
His father served as an executive with the Wu-Tang Clan in the early '90s. Tyree spent his childhood in studio sessions alongside his uncle La the Darkman and aunt Tekitha, completely transfixed by the atmosphere.
At five, he was already modeling for Shop-At-Home Network in Nashville — signed by his mother with Atlanta Models & Talent. He was directing home videos with cousins on a Sony camcorder he still owns today.
MEXICO,
2016.
The defining turn came when his family relocated to Mexico. Isolated and not yet fluent in Spanish, Tyree poured himself entirely into music production — self-teaching EQ, compression, vocal editing, gain staging, and arrangement through relentless study.
YouTube was his classroom. Music was his lifeline. Out of that season, CaribSoul was born — a fusion of hip-hop, R&B, and Caribbean rhythms that belongs entirely to him.
ATLANTA
RETURN
Back in Atlanta, Tyree pursued his education across three institutions — starting at Georgia State, transferring to West Georgia where he and his father Howard Edwards Sr. and brother Howard Edwards formally launched La Familia Entertainment, then completing his civil engineering degree at Georgia Tech.
He went on to work in the field full-time — until the pull of the dream became impossible to ignore. He walked away from a demanding engineering career to bet on La Familia and his music full-time, and hasn't looked back.
It does not ask you to choose a side. It asks you to recognize both within yourself.
TY OR REE.
Now, Tyree channels everything into his most defining work: REEALITY — a 13-track album structured around two personas.
TY represents light, discipline, and truth. REE embodies shadow, temptation, and chaos. The work is both a confession and a mirror.
His music is a conscious antidote — honoring real-life experience while lifting the culture toward positivity, love, and divine truth.
